UPDATE: Following the pre-sale sellout, the remaining tickets that went on sale to the general public have now also sold out.
A major update has emerged on AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door ticket sales.
Per PWInsider and WrestleTix, the allotted pre-sale tickets for the June 26 crossover show have sold out.
WrestleTix reported that these tickets were gone in less than 40 minutes, and even that was because AEW didn’t initially release all available pre-sale tickets. ‘Well over 20,000’ fans were reportedly still in the queue when tickets sold out.
As this was only a pre-sale, more tickets will be available tomorrow for the general public.
WrestleTix notes that the current Forbidden Door setup allows for around 14,000 fans. AEW Rampage: The First Dance reportedly seated just over 15,000 fans.
As of writing, no matches for the event have been confirmed, however several top stars have named potential opponents for the show, including IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada.
Instant presale sell out for the AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door show at the United Center. Less than 40 minutes (mostly because AEW didn't release every ticket initially) and well over 20,000 people in the queue.
