You may have seen that AEW President Tony Khan had some choice words for former WCW owner Eric Bischoff during the post-Double or Nothing media scrum.
Bischoff recently accused current AEW Champion CM Punk of being the “biggest financial flop in the history of wrestling,” something Khan took particular exception to, with the AEW President going on an expletive-filled rant at Bischoff.
Khan called Bischoff’s comments “f***ing bulls**t”, and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T feels Khan handled the situation terribly, describing it as a “meltdown”.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker said:
“That’s like locker room – not even locker room, that’s like the girls in the bathroom…that is ridiculous. Then all the F-bombs and whatnot…but just to be saying stuff just to be saying it is like doing spots just to be doing spots. That’s the way I look at it.”
He went on to question Khan’s priorities, and why he would be focusing on Bischoff’s comments so soon after one of AEW’s biggest shows of the year.
“But for me, at my biggest event of the year, the last person that I am thinking about, I am not thinking about the after-party. I am thinking about getting with my guys and having a celebration with this great night that we had.”
Khan has been widely mocked for his outburst on social media, but as we’ve seen, Tony doesn’t appear to be someone who likes to back down from an argument.
