The main event for the upcoming NXT Great American Bash special was revealed during Tuesday’s (June 8) NXT tapings.
Matches and segments set to air on NXT programming over the next two weeks were filmed during the aforementioned tapings.
During the tapings, Cameron Grimes confronted NXT Champion Bron Breakker, issuing a challenge for the July 5 special.
This came as a surprise to many, following heavy teases that Apollo Crews would be in the title picture leading up to NXT Great American Bash.
Apollo returned to NXT TV on Tuesday’s (June 7) episode, telling the fans that he wants to make history in NXT, and telling Bron Breakker that he’ll see him down the road.
Later on the show, Apollo teamed with Solo Sikoa to score a victory over Grayson Waller & Carmelo Hayes.
