An update has emerged on Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns’ schedule for this summer.
Reigns recently signed a new deal that will reportedly see him work less WWE dates moving forward.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the unified champion is only slated for one episode of Raw over the next few months.
Meltzer said:
“The only time Reigns is going to be on Raw is the Raw from Madison Square Garden. That’s his only Raw booking, the only time the champion will be on Raw pretty much the whole summer.”
WWE Raw will emanate from Madison Square Garden on July 25, the final Monday before SummerSlam 2022 on July 30.
Reigns last wrestled on WWE TV at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8. He is set to defend his title against Riddle on Friday’s episode of SmackDown. This will be his first title match since unifying the WWE and Universal championships at WrestleMania 38 in April.
Following this report, more details emerged on the original backstage plans for Reigns as a unified champion, which you can read about right here.
