SmackDown announcer Pat McAfee has responded to Michael Cole’s recent praise, following Pat McAfee signing a new deal with WWE.
WWE has now confirmed that the company and McAfee has come to terms on a multi-year contract extension.
Michael Cole has since taken to social media to note that McAfee has helped to revitalize his love for wrestling, tweeting:
“After 25 years in “the booth,” working with (Pat McAfee) is the highlight of each week. His excitement is contagious (even if he almost kicks me when standing on our table) and has helped revitalize my love for our business! @WWE, our fans, and I are lucky to have him!”
McAfee has now responded to Cole, tweeting:
“Man.. I appreciate you ?. Let’s KEEP IT GOIN”
McAfee will return to the ring at SummerSlam to face Happy Corbin. The SmackDown announcer last competed at WrestleMania, facing Theory and Vince McMahon in back-to-back matches. You can view the updated card for SummerSlam right here.
WWE recently shared a video of Cole and McAfee reacting to Liv Morgan’s SmackDown Women’s Title win at Money in the Bank, which you can watch at this link.
