Baron Black won his first AEW match on Dark: Elevation, ending his 50 match losing streak.
On Monday’s (July 25) show, Black went one-on-one with Brandon Cutler. Against all odds, Black rolled up Cutler for the three-count, and his first win inside an AEW ring.
Black had suffered his 50th straight AEW defeat on the July 20 edition of Dark, losing to Rohit Raju in singles action.
Several AEW stars have congratulated Black on his AEW win, including Anthony Bowens of The Acclaimed.
Reacting to his victory, Black shared a photo of him having his arm raised on Twitter, captioning the shot:
“Perseverance #AEWDarkElevation #AEWDark”
Since his AEW in-ring debut in April 2020, Black has faced off against a number of notable names, including Lance Archer, Wardlow, Wheeler Yuta and Anthony Ogogo.
Only time will tell how long Black’s winning streak will last.
Baron Black is also part owner of the TERMINUS Wrestling promotion with Jonathan Gresham. Details have emerged on Gresham’s recent heated meeting with Tony Khan, which you can read about at this link.
