In an exclusive interview with WrestleTalk, WWE star Damian Priest reveals his honest reaction to Edge returning at SummerSlam.
While Damian Priest continues to feud with Edge on television, what does he really think about his return to WWE? The answer might surprise you!
Despite his character having been involved in the beatdown that saw Edge depart from WWE television for some time, turns out Priest was actually enthusiastic about the Rated R Superstar’s return.
Priest revealed his actual feelings on the return of Edge, saying:
“So exciting, you know. Obviously having a legend like that returning, it’s good business for us. It’s only going to elevate The Judgment Day. It creates excitement for our fans. The idea of Clash At The Castle, the possibility of what can go down, what we can do, it’s all positive. So for us and myself personally, it’s exciting, it’s awesome. It’s some of the reasons, this is the stuff we love about what we do. So I’m all for it.”
While Edge may have returned with clear intent to seek retribution on The Judgment Day, he has still yet to tangle with any of them in the ring for a proper match.
Edge did however interrupt a post-match beatdown angle which saw Judgment Day attacking The Mysterios to land a couple of shots before the trio scattered.
Damian Priest along with other stable mates Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor can be seen on WWE Raw as well as at Clash at the Castle, WWE’s upcoming premium live event.
