Details have emerged on the talent meeting that took place before the September 7 edition of Dynamite, following the backstage altercation at All Out.
Following All Out, CM Punk, Ace Steel, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks were allegedly involved in a backstage fight, following Punk’s verbal tirade during the post show press conference.
On Dynamite, it was announced that Punk had been stripped of the AEW World Title, and The Elite’s Trios Championship had been vacated.
per Fightful Select (subscription required), Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley conducted a talent meeting before Dynamite for wrestlers, managers, announcers and referees.
Those who attended the meeting have reportedly spoken highly of it, with one talent telling Fightful that those were the right individuals to call a meeting at this time for it to resonate well.
The report noted that the word received after Dynamite was significantly more positive than in the lead-up to the taping.
There had previously been a lot of backstage praise for Jericho for ‘stepping up’ amid backstage drama.
A number of stars were suspended following the All Out altercation, and it is believed that CM Punk has now been handed a suspension.
