A former WWE, AEW and ROH star has signed on to compete on the undercard of the upcoming Floyd Mayweather vs Deji undercard.
At the November 13 event, presented by Global Titans Fight Series, undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather will face off against YouTuber Deji in an exhibition match.
Global Titans has now announced that an accomplished wrestler will compete on the card. On the graphic, The mystery talent is billed as a:
- Former WWE champion
- Former ROH champion
- Former AEW superstar
It was also claimed that this star is the first wrestler to sign for a major combat sports organisation since CM Punk signed with the UFC in 2014. This talent will want to be more successful than Punk, who lost his first fight to Mickey Gall in 2016 via a round one submission, and had his second fight against Mike Jackson ruled a no contest (originally a unanimous decision win for Jackson) after Jackson tested positive for marijuana.
Many have guessed that the star in question is Bobby Fish, who’s a two-time WWE NXT Tag Team Champion, a former ROH TV and ROH Tag Team champion, and finished up with AEW in August. If this is the case, the comparison to CM Punk will be ironic, as Fish recently called out Punk, discussing their backstage heat.
Floyd Mayweather’s opponent Deji notably defeated fellow influencer Fousey via TKO in July. On the same card, Deji’s brother KSI pulled double duty, defeating rapper Swarmz and pro-boxer Luis Pineda.
KSI recently responded to The Miz’ comments about him, which you can read more about right here.
