An update has emerged on Konosuke Takeshita’s AEW return, following the star recently confirming plans for another US run.
Takeshita impressed many during his international excursion earlier this year, notably having impressive showings on AEW TV against the likes of Eddie Kingston, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli.
Last month, the Japanese star stated that he will soon be returning the the US, indicating that he’ll be wrestling for AEW before the end of October.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Konosuke Takeshita will return to AEW in ‘a couple of weeks’.
Takeshita last wrestled for AEW in the US during the August 10 Dark: Elevation taping, against Cezar Bononi. This match aired on the August 15 episode.
The DDT Pro star notably was in action for AEW in September at the Tokyo Game Show 2022 event, competing against the likes of Chris Brookes and Christopher Daniels.
Takeshita unsuccessfully challenged for Kazusada Higuchi’s KO-D Openweight Championship at DDT Who’s Gonna Top? on September 25. He had previously stated that this would probably be his last match in Japan before his return to the US.
