The identity of the pro-wrestler set to box on the undercard of the upcoming Floyd Mayweather vs Deji event has been revealed.
Global Titans Fight Series previously announced that a notable wrestler had signed on to fight on the November 13 show. The star was billed as a:
- Former WWE champion
- Former ROH champion
- Former AEW superstar
Global Titans has now confirmed that the talent in question is Bobby Fish. On November 13, the former WWE, ROH and AEW star will make his pro-boxing debut against Boateng Prempeh.
Global Titan’s noted the following on Twitter:
@thebobbyfish makes the transition and bold leap from pro wrestling to boxing, debuting against Ghanaian Boateng Prempeh.
If you’re still scratching your head over the previously listed accolades, Fish is a two-time WWE NXT Tag Team Champion, a former ROH TV and ROH Tag Team champion, and finished up with AEW in August.
The previous announcement also claimed that Fish is the first wrestler to sign for a major combat sports organisation since CM Punk signed with the UFC in 2014. This CM Punk reference is pretty ironic, seeing as Fish has called out Punk for their backstage heat in AEW multiple times since leaving the promotion.
