WWE is reportedly working under the belief that former WWE presenter and interviewer Renee Paquette is AEW-bound.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), WWE sources told them on Friday (October 7) that WWE believes Paquette will soon join AEW.
The report noted that Give Me Sport’s Louis Dangoor had heard that WWE contacted Paquette about a potential return to the company, however Fightful has yet to confirm this.
Paquette, who went by ‘Renee Young’ in WWE, left the company in August 2020, after almost eight years with the company. During her WWE tenure, Paquette hosted numerous WWE shows, and served as a commentator for the Raw and NXT brands at separate times.
Paquette is notably married to Jon Moxley, the current AEW World Champion. Moxley has now signed a five-year contract extension with AEW, with his responsibilities expanding to include ‘mentoring and coaching talent’. You can read more about Moxley’s new AEW deal right here.
WWE recently announced new broadcast teams for Raw, SmackDown and NXT, confirming that Cathy Kelley has re-joined WWE as a backstage interviewer.
