NJPW and CMLL last held a Fantasticamania tour in January 2020, prior to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions tightening.
Since then, the Japanese promotion has officially worked with a variety of other companies, most notably AEW. NJPW and AEW hosted a ‘Forbidden Door’ show in June, featuring stars from both promotions.
NJPW appears to be working with WWE in some capacity, with Karl Anderson still recognised as the NEVER Openweight Champion despite returning to WWE earlier this month. An update on Anderson’s future with NJPW can be found at this link.
