An update has emerged on Mike Tyson’s AEW future, ahead of his upcoming AEW appearance.
Tyson has made several appearances for AEW since the company’s inception, notably presenting Cody Rhodes with the TNT Championship in May 2020, and siding with the Inner Circle faction in April 2021.
The former boxer has been advertised for the November 4 edition of Rampage, where he will be a special guest on commentary for the episode.
Per PWInsider, the deal for Tyson to appear was finalised just a few days before this announcement. PWInsider also reports that they were told that ‘this may not be just a one-off appearance for Mike Tyson in AEW’, indicating that AEW has plans for multiple Tyson appearances.
AEW is currently building to the upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view, which will emanate from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on November 13.
In the main event of the show, MJF will cash in his Casino Ladder Match poker chip to challenge for Jon Moxley’s AEW World Championship.
The finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament will also take place at the event. As of writing, Dante Martin and Ethan Page have been announced for the tournament.
