A lead actress on “Young Rock” has praised the performance of top WWE star Becky Lynch.
On the season three premiere of “Young Rock”, Becky Lynch appeared to play the role of Cyndi Lauper in the series, which will look back on the days of WrestleMania 1.
Stacey Leilua, who plays the role of Ata Johnson on the show, spoke with Adrian Hernandez of The Bet 1140AM and praised the work of “The Man”.
She said:
“She was so cool. I’m not a huge wrestling fan, we spent the morning in the makeup chair and this is an indication of the kind of person she is.”
“We spent the morning in makeup and she has this Irish accent, and she’s like, ‘My name is Rebecca.'”
“I really liked her and I could connect with our guest and make conversation, she’s a mom and I’m a mom, we’re talking about our girls.”
Leilua contined on to discuss when she discovered that Becky Lynch was a WWE superstar, saying:
“Then, going onto set, Brian Gewirtz came over and was like, ‘Do you know who that is?’ ‘Yeah, that’s Rebecca.’
“He’s like, ‘That’s Becky Lynch, The Man.’ ‘What are you talking about?'”
The “Young Rock” actress concluded that she was shocked to discover this fact, stating:
“So gobsmacked. ‘Oh my gosh.’ She was so cool and professional. The accent is huge, to go from that to Cyndi Lauper was a big thing. She was amazing,”
The season three premiere of “Young Rock” guest starring Becky Lynch will air on NBC tonight at 8:30PM ET.
