Has a big clue that Sasha Banks is set for New Japan Pro Wrestling Wrestle Kingdom 17 in January just been passively revealed?
According to Fightful Select, there are several interesting details to the currently evolving Mercedes Varnado story, formerly known as Sasha Banks.
While there are some within AEW who are excited at the prospect of her joining the company, it sounds as though the crowd is more silent from another camp.
When asked for comment regarding whether or not she would be appearing at the NJPW January 4th show, Wrestle Kingdom 17 there was a conspicuous silence.
According to the report, typically if rumors are false they are quickly rebuffed by their NJPW however with this particular question, they would not confirm nor deny.
Interestingly there was already a big announcement for AEW Dynamite set for January 11th at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
Current AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. challenged Saraya to a tag team match, noting that she needed to find a partner.
Wonder who could pop by to be Saraya’s tag team partner, one week after Wrestle Kingdom 17…? We”ll have to stay tuned to find out!
