A WWE Hall of Famer has buried the recent appearance of AEW stars on an independent wrestling show saying he’d “never heard of the company.”
On January 8, Chris Jericho made an appearance on PWG Battle of Los Angeles Night Two, teaming with Sammy Guevara, Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard and Angelo Parker to take on and defeat the team of Player Uno, Kevin Blackwood, Jonathan Gresham, SB KENTo and Michael Oku.
Conrad Thompson addressed the appearance on the To Be The Man Podcast, asking if Flair had any comment of his own and whether WWE would have endorsed an appearance like this.
The two-time WWE Hall of Famer would respond by saying:
“No. Because they’re the WWE [laughs]. Why would they endorse something else?
“I mean, I get it. First of all, I’m the first to say I don’t know everything, but I’ve never heard of the company you’re talking about.
“They may never have heard of me, but I don’t think that’s the case [laughs].
“Right now, I’m focused on the fact that two hours of Flair is worth more than two hours of live TV.”
Flair would be referring to his two-hour To Be The Man documentary on Peacock.
The Nature Boy recently expressed his love for Vince McMahon and that he was glad that McMahon is back in WWE.
