An AEW star is reportedly out of action due to injury.
On the December 28 New Year’s Smash edition of AEW Dynamite, Samoa Joe defeated Wardlow to retain the TNT Championship.
Prior to the bout, Joe attacked Wardlow’s leg and followed up on the assault during the match. The King of Television continued his attack after the match and added insult to injury by cutting off the man bun of his rival.
Since this Dynamite episode, many fans have been wondering when the former TNT Champion will make his return to television.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Wardlow is currently sidelined with an injury. Details regarding the injury and how much time he will miss are both currently unknown.
Meltzer also reported that the injury is “not believed to be one that will keep him out of action for a long time.”
It remains to be seen what Wardlow’s health status currently is at this time.
