A former WWE name has revealed that they want to return to WWE after fifteen years to face Edge before they retire.
Gangrel and Edge along with Christian were The Brood before October 1998 and July 1999.
As seen in the video below this news story, the darkly themed trio would not only make their entrance through a ring of fire with Gangrel spraying ‘blood’ into the air and frequently drenching his opponents with the red liquid.
Gangrel has now spoken about a return to WWE before he calls it a day on his 30+ year career.
Speaking during a K&S WrestleFest virtual signing, Gangrel revealed that he thought about retirement “all the time” but wouldn’t indicate a day or year where he would hang up his boots.
He did, however, reveal one of his hope before he retires and that would be for his retirement match, saying:
“To be honest, I would like that one-on-one match with Edge.”
Gangrel, who still performs as his vampirically themed character, added:
“I started there with him, I’d like to finish it with him, the Gangrel character. The vampire character started in Puerto Rico, but Gangrel [in] WWE, what everybody knows me as, I think I would like to do one more match with Edge. That would be cool.”
He would, however, cast doubt on the possibility of it happening.
