A faction has been given an official name on AEW Rampage, with the group of outsiders being made up of former WWE stars.
Led by Saraya (formerly WWE’s Paige) and joined by Toni Storm and Ruby Soho (formerly Ruby Riot), the group has “declared war on the homegrown stars of the AEW women’s division”.
The spray paint-wielding group appeared on AEW Rampage, attacking a prone Riho before standing victorious as the show went off the air.
As confirmed by the AEW Twitter account, the group are now called The Outcasts.
The tweet has met a rather mixed reception, with some criticizing the spray paint, the presentation and calling what’s happened so far “cringey” and “like Tony Khan sat down and thought ‘what if we do the NWO but worse’.”
Some did praise what they saw, however, with a smattering of comments about the addition of Soho to the group.
Ruby Soho cut a promo on AEW Dynamite referring to fans as “fat neckbearded mouth-breathing trolls.”
