It appears there may be an update on NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, whose status has been uncertain as of late.
Perez was temporarily written off NXT TV on March 7, when she “collapsed” in the ring and was taken away in an ambulance after her match with Meiko Satomura.
That was obviously just a storyline, but Dave Meltzer reported that there’s a legitimate reason for the storyline being done in a way that takes her off TV, as there is a real-life “situation” with Perez, although exact details are unknown.
As such, NXT had to deviate away from the clearly-being-built Perez vs Tiffany Stratton match at Stand & Deliver, instead booking a multi-woman ladder match for the NXT Women’s Championship, which Perez may or may not be a part of depending on if she’s back by then.
Well, it seems all hope is not lost, as a new poster on the Stand & Deliver tickets page on the Crypto.com Arena site does have Perez featured, and in fact, she’s front and center as the main focus of the poster.
There is obviously a “card is subject to change” disclaimer, but Perez being featured, especially so heavily, would suggest there’s still hope she’ll be on the show.
While it’s unknown when the poster was made, it was added to the site some time in the last couple of days, so Perez’s situation was known about before it was added.
The poster features Perez, NXT Champion Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, North American Champion Wes Lee, Stratton, and Grayson Waller.
So far, the card for Stand & Deliver is as follows:
Bron Breakker (c) vs. Carmelo Hayes – NXT Championship
Gigi Dolin vs. Zoey Stark vs. ? TBD – NXT Women’s Championship Ladder Match
Wes Lee (c) vs. 4 TBA – NXT North American Championship
Grayson Waller vs. Johnny Gargano
Kiana James & Fallon Henley (c) vs. Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn – NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship
