Chris Jericho has commented on the possibility of CM Punk returning to AEW, and whether or not they’d be able to coexist.
Punk hasn’t appeared for AEW since he was suspended following a backstage altercation at All Out in September 2022.
It was reported that following the incident that Chris Jericho confronted Punk, calling him a ‘cancer to the locker room’.
During Punk’s recent Instagram post, Punk called out Jericho, calling him a ‘liar and a stooge’.
Speaking on the The Mark Madden Show, Jericho stated that AEW is going to thrive regardless of CM Punk’s status with the promotion.
Noting that he and Punk don’t have to get along for them to coexist, Jericho said:
“You know, I’m not (on CM Punk’s Christmas card list) but I wasn’t on Scott Hall’s Christmas card list or I wasn’t on, you know, Eric Bischoff’s Christmas card list.
“You don’t have to be best friends to coexist so, to me, that’s not really my wheelhouse. I’m not in charge of that. I’m sure there will be some answers to that pretty quickly I would assume.
“Either way, but to us, AEW’s gonna thrive and survive with or without him so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”
Punk recently shared a message during a WrestleMania week show, which you can read more about right here.
