Former WWE Star Teases In-Ring Return

Former WWE Star Teases In-Ring Return WWE

Former WWE star Matthew Rehwoldt (fka Aiden English) has now teased his return to the ring, following his wrestling retirement.

Rehwoldt last wrestled at the May 14, 2022 IMPACT TV taping, unsuccessfully challenging for Rich Swann’s Digital Media Championship.

That August, Rehwoldt confirmed that he was no longer taking wrestling bookings, and would only be continuing his non-wrestling roles.

Rehwoldt has now taken to Twitter to note that he’s now taking bookings or announcing, hosting and managing.

Hinting that he may have ‘a few bumps’ left, Rehwoldt tweeted:

Here’s your reminder that the Drama King is an unsigned free agent with availability coming up to add a little drama to your shows

Announcing/hosting/managing/…maybe a few bumps left in the tank 😳

Rehwoldt was one of a number of WWE stars let go in April 2020, during budget cuts linked to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After leaving WWE, the former ‘Aiden English’ wrestled for the likes of NJPW and IMPACT before hanging up his boots.

He also established himself as a commentator during his runs with these promotions.
