The latest update has now emerged on the participants for this year’s WWE Money in the Bank ladder matches.
The Money in the Bank event is set to take place at the 02 Arena in London, England on Saturday, July 1.
That means, once this weekend’s Night of Champions is in the books, Money in the Bank is the next major WWE show.
As such, WWE has already made a Money in the Bank-based announcement for next week’s May 29 episode of Raw, which will be the post-Night of Champions episode.
On that May 29 show, the first Money in the Bank qualifying matches will take place.
No names for the qualifying matches were announced, but it was confirmed that there will once again be two Money in the Bank ladder matches – one for the men and one for the women.
It’s also newsworthy in itself that qualifying matches are taking place as WWE has sometimes just announced the participants without them having to qualify.
Roman Reigns has also been confirmed for Money in the Bank, as well as SmackDown the night prior in the same venue.
Last month, WRKD Wrestling reported that the popular LA Knight was being viewed in WWE as “a leading candidate” to potentially win this year’s men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
The card for WWE Night of Champions 2023 on Saturday, May 27 is as follows:
World Heavyweight Championship – Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs. AJ Styles
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c) vs. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa
Raw Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka
SmackDown Women’s Championship – Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Natalya
Intercontinental Championship – Gunther (c) vs. Mustafa Ali
Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus
