Find out what huge match is being discussed for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 next month in Toronto!
There is reportedly a very spicy match being discussed as a possibility for the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
While fans still speculate whether or not they will ever see CM Punk resolve his drama with The Elite on screen in AEW, they might get some closure on another longstanding Punk feud.
According to Fightful Select, there are internal rumblings that not only may KENTA appear at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door2023 pay-per-view, he might have an eyebrow raising opponent.
While nothing is confirmed, there has at least been discussion of KENTA facing CM Punk after decades long beef over their shared finishing move, the GTS.
With recently older video footage re-surfacing (and being shared by KENTA) where CM Punk fully admits that he “stole” the Go to Sleep from KENTA, and KENTA’s comments that he would be open to a match if the ‘money was right’, we could be on the verge of seeing this dream match become reality.
KENTA recently beat AEW signee Nick Wayne for the DEFY Championship in the independent promotion known for a good working relationship with AEW.
DEFY will have independent shows partnering with PROGRESS Wrestling in both Toronto and London ahead of AEW’s upcoming pay-per-views so… Book it Tony!
Get Schaff please while you’re at it too please, appreciate you!
UPDATE: KENTA has now responded to this report – find out what he said at this link.

I don’t really care who’s the original G2S. There is only one truth.
If you want me to have match against Punk, Give Me correct amount of money. Other than that I don’t need to have this match. Seriously. https://t.co/5eGIjN5bFO— KENTA aka Lil’K (@KENTAG2S) June 7, 2023
