Last night’s episode of WWE Raw featured the return of Tommaso Ciampa, with him wrestling for the first time since September against The Miz on the show.
Ciampa’s return took place in Cleveland, the hometown of his former DIY tag team partner Johnny Gargano, who was noticeably absent from the show.
Despite not appearing on the show, Gargano was present backstage, and Ciampa’s return to the company seemingly has big implications on his future.
Per WRKD Wrestling, following Ciampa’s return, there are still plans in the works for DIY to be reformed on the main roster.
In addition, the reunion of DIY is set to lead to a feud with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Owens and Zayn are set to defend their titles against Pretty Deadly on SmackDown in London next Friday, the day before Money In The Bank.
Ciampa has broken his silence following his WWE return, including a major tease for a DIY reunion.
While Johnny Gargano was noticeably absent from #WWERaw, fans saw the return of Ciampa.
As we’ve reported in the past, there are still plans in the works to reform #DIY.
We can now add current plans have this leading to a feud with Owens/Zayn over the tag titles. pic.twitter.com/UIxMo4iCEI
