Tessa Blanchard has seemingly burnt her bridges with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide according to comments made by Konnan.
Konnan, who has served in multiple capacities and is currently the booker in AAA, recently spoke about a Blanchard return on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, saying:
“No. Why would I bring her in bro? She was very disrespectful. She was like, ‘Oh, the only reason I’m in f**king Mexico is because of Daga (her ex-husband).’
“Really, okay, and (she said) ‘Why do you guys do this? Why do you guys do that?’ I go, ‘Because, newsflash, this is Lucha Libre, not U.S. wrestling.’
“And, bro, it would be very uncomfortable after the way they (Blanchard & Daga) got separated that she’d be in the same dressing room with him and then I don’t want to put him in that position. They were married.
“She hooked up with some other guy and he found out, like, one of the boys.”
In May 2023, Blanchard spoke about her future in wrestling saying that she had ‘unfinished business‘.
She had previously stated that her break from wrestling was due to her focusing on her studies at the University of Texas, San Antonio.
She worked multiple matches for CMLL in October.
CMLL and AAA have a rocky relationship, as highlighted by the issues it causes AEW which works with talent from both promotions.
