WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has teased ‘big plans’ for this year’s SummerSlam event in Cleveland.
WWE United States Champion Logan Paul made the announcement today on his Impaulsive podcast that this year’s WWE SummerSlam event will take place live from Browns Stadium in his hometown of Cleveland on August 3.
In the announcement, Logan challenged LeBron James to a match in Cleveland, and Triple H has now commented on Logan’s announcement.
Taking to Twitter, he teased big plans for the show, but said that the details need some ‘ironing out.
He wrote:
We’ve got big plans for #SummerSlam’s big return to Cleveland this year.
PS @LoganPaul, we’ll need to iron out those details a bit…
Last year’s SummerSlam event took place in Detroit’s Ford Field, where Logan opened up the show defeating Ricochet.
The show was headlined by a Tribal Combat main event, with Jey Uso unsuccessfully challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
