There has been a big backstage update on a former champion’s status after reportedly “finishing up” with TNA Wrestling.
It was reported following TNA’s Sacrifice pay-per-view on March 8, that former Knockouts Tag Team Champion Killer Kelly was all done with the company.
However, in a new update from Fightful Select, it seems as if that information is not correct at all.
When Fightful reached out to TNA sources, some miscommunication was cleared up regarding Kelly’s status in the company.
According to the report TNA confirmed that Kelly has not departed, and was actually present at this past weekend’s TV tapings.
Kelly reportedly has a contract with TNA until August 2025, but is set to take some time off.
This scheduled hiatus was said to be where the term “finished up” originally originated from, leading to reports claiming that the 32-year-old was leaving altogether.
As of now, the Portuguese star is not being factored in to the company’s creative plans – with no current indication of when this will change.
