Another team advanced in the tag team tournament to determine who will be the new champs on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
There was a high-flying and fun match in the tournament tonight (March 27) as an original AEW feud was re-ignited.
After first meeting on the second episode of AEW Dynamite in October 2019 in a match that Private Party won, they and the Young Bucks went at it yet again.
In the first quarter-final match in the tournament, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, the Young Bucks, took on Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy).
Unlike the big upset back in 2019 this time it would be Marq Quen who would take the pin, with both Young Bucks pinning him to advance in the tournament.
Later in the show, there was another quarter-final matchup as well.
Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta took on the Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven and Mike Bennett to determine who else will advance in the tournament.
Cassidy and Beretta would end up picking up the win, but their afterparty was short lived as the Young Bucks came out to made their presence felt on the stage to look on at their semi-final opponents.
Then they disappeared down through their entrance elevator as commentary revealed that the semi-final will take place next week on Dynamite.
On Saturday’s AEW Collision (March 30), FTR vs. The Infantry and Top Flight vs. Absolute Ricky Starks and Big Bill also in quarter-final action.
