Paul Heyman has addressed a popular fan theory regarding The Rock and the Bloodline from a recent heel promo.
When The Rock returned to WWE and seemingly aligned with the Bloodline, he cut his first heel promo on the February 16 episode of SmackDown.
To close the segment, Rock threw up the ‘ones’ with Roman Reigns and the rest of the Bloodline, but instead of just raising his index finger, he also raised his thumb in the shape of an L, which led to a lot of speculation about him acting as a ‘double agent’ for Cody Rhodes and costing Roman Reigns the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania.
Speaking to Forbes, Paul Heyman was asked about the theory, and whether there is anything to worry about with it.
He responded:
“I don’t know, and it’s something that certainly my suggestion would be that’s a great question to ask The Rock, and I’m sure he’d be happy to answer it. But it is a conspiracy. And just because it’s a conspiracy theory doesn’t mean there’s not a conspiracy behind it. So my father always taught me, ‘Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean the whole world’s not against you’, so I’m sure there’s something to it. And my suggestion would be ask the final boss, ask The Rock.”
Both The Rock and Roman Reigns are set to appear on next week’s episode of Raw in Brooklyn, New York.
Roman and The Rock are set to team up against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on night one of WrestleMania 40.
