Drew McIntyre for Seth Rollins: Blockbuster WWE trade would spice up Raw & SmackDown

WWE

Drew McIntyre has not appeared on WWE television since WrestleMania 42, when he was defeated by Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned match.

McIntyre has been away filming numerous upcoming Hollywood roles, though he is reportedly expected to make his return soon.

Seth Rollins has also been off WWE television recently, not appearing since he lost to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, though he has been appearing at live events.

With both men likely on their way back soon, WWE should make a blockbuster trade between the two brands.

Drew McIntyre on Raw

Monday Night Raw is currently Bloodline country, with Roman Reigns running the show alongside his cousins like it’s 2022 all over again.

While the Bloodline have a very long list of enemies, on who stands almost alone at the top is Drew McIntyre, who has made hating the Bloodline his entire personality since he was screwed back at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff in 2022.

Moving Drew over to the Raw roster would be an obvious play upon his return, as he would be a natural fit into whatever storyline the Bloodline will have going into War Games this year, likely against the 946 and any potential allies they may find along the way.

Plus, with the Bloodline now floating between babyface and heel almost weekly, Drew would get the chance to play the babyface against them again on occasion.

Seth Rollins on SmackDown

Meanwhile, with the Vision storyline falling apart and things with he and Roman wrapped up, there is not an obvious place for Seth Rollins on Raw right now.

SmackDown has a thriving main event scene, with several names chasing Sami Zayn’s WWE Championship, including CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Gunther, Finn Balor and Randy Orton.

Rollins has a lot of history with all the men involved, and he would slide straight into the picture as another key name looking to become champion heading in to the end of the year.

Furthermore, the possibility of Rollins potentially aligning with Kevin Owens due to their hatred of CM Punk and causing chaos as a partnership similar to how they were back in early 2022 would make for incredible television, as the pair had great chemistry together.

Rollins moving to SmackDown would likely also open the door to Becky Lynch doing the same, potentially setting up a future rematch with Rhea Ripley down the line.
