WWE
WWE characters often go through many different iterations over the years, with some eras bringing about success and others not.
Moving forward is typically the best way to keep things fresh, but oftentimes there is a reason to look backwards and tap into an old persona.
Here are three WWE stars who could revert back to an old version of themselves.
R-Truth – Ron Killings
After shockingly being released by WWE in June 2025, only to return one week later, R-Truth adopted a more serious character and began being referred to as his real name Ron Killings.
This change didn’t last too long however, with Truth returning to his comedy antics two months later once his “hero” John Cena went back to being a babyface.
While Truth is beloved in his comedy role, there are times when a more grounded character is required and he finds himself in one of those situations right now, with Truth being betrayed by Damian Priest last month and later attacked by Priest during a visit to the trainer’s room at the WWE Performance Center.
If Truth wants some revenge on Priest he’s going to have to get serious. Adopting his real name again to signify the change isn’t necessary, but Truth will need to tap into a similar mindset to the one he had while he was playing Ron Killings on WWE TV.
Tiffany Stratton – NXT rich girl character
Tiffany Stratton’s babyface WWE character has felt stale at points over the past few years, something even Tiffany herself admitted earlier this year.
Her partnership with Chelsea Green has helped mix things up a bit, but the timing feels right for a full blown heel turn; something that appears to be on the horizon.
Stratton is being just a little too friendly towards Green that it’s almost out of character, and with Money in the Bank around the corner she may have the perfect opportunity to stab her friend in the back by cashing in on her, should she win the briefcase.
Stratton reverting back to her spoilt, rich girl character from NXT, only now with extra aggression and evil intent, would be a perfect way to breathe new life into the former WWE Women’s Champion.
Paul Heyman – The Wise Man
Paul Heyman has been in a weird place in WWE since Brock Lesnar’s retirement.
Is he aligned to The Vision still? It certainly doesn’t feel like it. But he also hasn’t entirely turned his back on them, as he still oversees what they do, offers feedback and importantly hasn’t began representing anyone else on the roster.
While there are many fans who want to see him flank WWE’s “Next Big Thing” Oba Femi, or perhaps a heel Cody Rhodes, WWE also have the option to reunite Heyman with his former “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns.
While almost the entirety of the OG Bloodline are back together, it still feels somewhat incomplete without “The Wise Man.”
