WWE
The line ups for this year’s Money In The Bank Ladder match were finalised on this week’s episode of SmackDown, when Kevin Owens and Tiffany Stratton qualified for their respective matches.
With the six-man line up now locked in, there are a number of potential winners among the line up.
Here is a case for every men’s Ladder match participant to win this year’s briefcase.
Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker is a two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion
After a very quiet 2026, Bron Breakker’s rise in WWE has resumed over the past few weeks with his feud with Oba Femi looking to determine who is truly the future of the company.
The first man to qualify for the match, Bron winning the briefcase would cap off his recent story arc of returning to the forefront of WWE’s future.
Je’von Evans

Je’Von Evans has yet to win a championship in WWE, across both NXT and the main roster.
The youngest member of the match, Je’von Evans has years ahead of him to eventually climb to the top of the company, but there is no reason for the hold up as he is ready right now.
Je’von winning the briefcase would make him the youngest Money In The Bank winner of all time, as well as potentially the youngest World Champion in WWE history, which would be an iconic moment.
Trick Williams

Trick Williams regained the United States Championship from Baron Corbin at Sunday Night’s Main Event
Since debuting on SmackDown back in January, Trick Williams has become one of the most popular stars on the brand, now reigning as a two-time United States Champion.
Trick’s popularity with the fans can’t be ignored, and WWE giving him the briefcase would be a nice sign of WWE actually going with a hot hand, a major criticism of the company in the past.
Penta

Penta lost his first world title match in WWE on September 14 when he challenged Roman Reigns.
Penta is arguably one of the hottest names on Raw following his match with Roman Reigns in Mexico City, with him being considered a favourite to win the case this year.
Much the same as Trick, Penta winning the briefcase would be a nice pivot to a name many fans are clamouring to see reach the mountain top in WWE.
CM Punk

CM Punk will become the first three-time Money In The Bank winner if he wins in New Orleans
To most fans, Money In The Bank is primarily seen as an avenue for a new face to chase the world championship for the first time in their career.
Punk winning however would make him the first ever three-time Money In The Bank winner, a nice record he would once again hold on his own, and almost certainly set up another major match for him at next year’s WrestleMania.
Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens returned after a 17 month injury layoff at WWE SummerSlam 2026.
Kevin Owens is the only other former World Champion in the match, but it has now been 10 years since he last reigned as champion in WWE.
With Sami Zayn winning the WWE Championship twice this year, it feels that Owens is closer than ever to finally becoming World Champion again, and him winning Money In The Bank would almost guarantee it.
