Axel Tischer Reflects On SAnitY Being Called Up Without Nikki Cross (Exclusive)

Axel Tischer Reflects On SAnitY Being Called Up Without Nikki Cross (Exclusive) WWE/WrestleTalk

Ahead of PROGRESS Chapter 134: No Mountain High Enough, Axel Tischer (fka Alexander Wolfe) spoke exclusively with Sanchez Taylor for WrestleTalk.com about his time in WWE.

Tischer was notably a part of the popular SAnitY faction from 2016 to 2019. In 2018, Tischer, Eric Young and Big Damo (Killian Dain) were called up to the main roster, without Nikki ASH (Nikki Cross).

Discussing the call-up, Tischer said:

“When we moved from NXT to SmackDown, it felt a little bit… flat. Because we got promoted without Nikki Cross, which was the best case scenario for her to be honest. But it felt flat because she was one of us. She was a major part of SAnitY. She was the ‘it’ part of SAnitY, because you can have a stable of like, four guys or four girls, but that was one of the stables where you had three guys and one girl, and she was probably the most dangerous person in the stable.

“She was the most uncontrollable person, because you had the leader with EY (Eric Young), you had the big guy with Damo (Killian Dain) or with Sawyer (Fulton), you had the loose cannon with me, but I’m a little bit more controlled – I was kind of like the firestarter, but in the end, Nikki was the person that would pull the trigger eventually.

“So the dynamic was great, and it took that important part away from us, which sucked balls, and then we got promoted up there and didn’t have anything to do.”

SAnitY disbanded in 2019, with Tischer going on to join Imperium on NXT UK. Tischer also revealed the bizarre way he found out about the group’s split.
