Are Roode And Gable A Real Tag Team Now?
I’ve been enjoying the team of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, but up until Monday night, they’ve felt very much like a thrown together team that WWE just wasn’t ready to commit to. Roode’s entrance, for example, remained intact while Chad Gable was forced to run out and jump up into camera shot in an attempt to be included. Their chemistry was good, but something had to be done to unify the two as a team.
Just winning the tag titles is a good step toward becoming an actual tag team, but it isn’t enough. WWE has been known to strap two singles guys with the belts without caring whether they’re a real team or not.
I’m actually going with yes on this one, but not due to the title win. I genuinely think that in WWE, you aren’t a tag team until you have matching gear. When Roode and Gable came down the ramp in matching trunks, they finally became an official tag team… Probably so WWE can break them up next week.
