4. CM Punk Is Back
As noted, CM Punk is one of the huge names who has returned to AEW TV in the past few weeks.
Before his feud with Wardlow which was his last before his disappearance, MJF had been embroiled in a three-match program with CM Punk for several months.
After MJF’s ‘pipebomb’ promo before he left, Punk was the man who came out to the ring to try and calm him down before he fled the scene (this wasn’t televised but the video made the rounds soon after).
If that was part of a plan, and there was going to be some sort of continuation of the storyline between Punk and MJF, perhaps the reason we haven’t seen MJF for so long is because Punk was out, and now he’s back, maybe MJF won’t be too far behind so they can pick up where they left off.
