There is a little over five weeks remaining before All Elite Wrestling returns to Wembley Stadium for the AEW All In London 2026 pay-per-view on Sunday, August 30.

Considering the company wants to make the road to All In an unpredictable one, fans should expect the upcoming AEW Redemption 2026 show to have its share of surprises.

From returning stars and new arrivals showing up to big time title changes ahead of Wembley, Redemption has a ton of potential to be a night filled with wild twist and turns.

Here are six potential surprises at AEW Redemption 2026.

6. Bandido Becomes A Double Champion By Capturing AEW International Championship From Kyle Fletcher

On the July 15 edition of AEW Dynamite, Brodido interrupted a backstage interview with Kyle Fletcher. This led to Fletcher defeating Komander to retain the TNT Title later in the program.

Following their win, Fletcher attacked Komander until Konosuke Takeshita made the save, but he was cut off by Kazuchika Okada. However, it was Brodido who got the last laugh by getting rid of ProtOkada.

Following this confrontation, Fletcher has challenged Bandido to face him for the AEW International Championship on Sunday, July 26 in Montreal.

Bandido has everything it takes to shock the world by defeating Fletcher to win the International Title and become a double champion moving forward.

5. Kay Lee Ray Arrives

One of the more surprising names involved in the latest round of WWE departures was Alba Fyre.

The former NXT UK Women’s Champion had long been an underrated and underutilized talent on the WWE main roster.

Now that she is a free agent, Fyre, now known as Kay Lee Ray, is showing everyone that she is much more than the lady in the suit.

After impressing the fans and Will Ospreay at Pro Wrestling: EVE, it could be the right time to have Kay Lee Ray make her debut on the AEW Redemption 2026 pay-per-view.

4. FTR Return

At AEW Double Or Nothing 2026, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeated FTR in an I Quit Match to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

Since suffering this loss, fans have not seen Dax Harwood or Cash Wheeler on AEW television, with rumors swirling regarding their long-term futures in the company.

After recently revealing their absence from the company, FTR could be ready to make their way back where the former three-time AEW World Tag Team Champions will be looking for a fourth.

FTR returning at AEW Redemption could see them come in to cost Cope and Cage the titles in their scheduled bout against Claudio Castagnoli and PAC, which would reignite their rivalry in a significant way.

3. Motor City Machine Guns Debut

On April 24, WWE had its latest round of releases with over two dozen wrestlers departing the company.

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley only spent just over a year with the company before thety became one of the most shocking releases in recent memory.

After choosing WWE over the company in 2024, it feels like a no-brainer for All Elite Wrestling to swoop in to grab the Machine Guns.

Being known as one of the most influential tag teams of their generation, The Motor City Machine Guns making their debut at AEW Redempition could see them open up the possibility for so many intriguing directions moving forward.

2. Jon Moxley Turns On Will Ospreay

After having his neck broken by him, Will Ospreay returned at AEW Revolution, looking for revenge on Jon Moxley. This led to Moxley defeating Ospreay to retain the AEW Continental Championship at Dynasty 2026.

However, Moxley and the Death Riders made the save for Ospreay when it looked like Mark Davis was poised to break his neck again and offered him the chance to train with the group.

This has led to a compelling tale where Ospreay has been ingrained into the Death Riders and will now team with Moxley to face The Young Bucks at AEW Redemption 2026.

Win, lose or draw, Moxley turning on Ospreay at AEW Redemption 2026 might be the major storyline development that sets in motion the storyline that will build up the Wembley Stadium main event with Kenny Omega at All In London.

1. Kevin Knight Ruins AEW All In London 2026 Plans By Winning AEW World Title From Kenny Omega

On the July 15 episode of AEW Dynamite, Kevin Knight crashed Kenny Omega’s AEW World Title Celebration to challenge the new champion for the gold.

Despite some hesitation, Omega accepts and wants to beat some sense into Knight to stay far away from The Don Callis Family.

While most fans are excited to see Omega clash with Ospreay, “The Jet” just might be the final obstacle before “The Cleaner” can meet “The Aerial Assassin” in Wembley Stadium.

Knight pulling off the massive upset over Omega would not only make AEW Redemption 2026 a hallmark event, but it would also cement “The Jet” as the top star heading into a clash with Will Ospreay in Wembley Stadium.
