7 Main Roster Stars Who Should Move To WWE NXT In 2024 WWE

2023 was the year that WWE begun to establish NXT as a legitimate third brand of WWE rather than just the Raw and SmackDown feeder system.

Contrary to years past where NXT felt like the neglected step-child of WWE, Triple H has done an excellent job in making the brand feel canon with the rest of the company’s programming.

Thankfully this has also seen the end of bizarre presentation, name and gimmick changes – all of which were commonplace when Vince McMahon received any new talent from the black and gold brand.

While there have been plenty notable NXT call-up success stories in 2023, there has also been many successful… call-down’s… I guess? With fledgling main roster stars getting a new lease on life on Tuesday nights.

So in celebration of one of these examples – Baron Corbin, challenging for the NXT Championship at NXT Deadline on December 9: let’s take a look at seven other struggling main roster stars who could follow suit in 2024.

7. Odyssey Jones

Before getting into the more established names on the list I must give a shout out to Odyssey Jones who has still yet to make a single appearance on WWE main roster TV, despite being drafted to Raw back in April.

Although Jones was drafted to Raw, there has actually been more evidence suggesting that the 29-year-old could eventually emerge on SmackDown instead.

The only matches he’s competed in since his move have been either in dark matches on SmackDown or most recently on the SmackDown dates of the WWE Live Holiday Tour.

There was also some reports suggesting that Jones’ name had also been brought up in regards to doing Bobby Lashley’s stable alongside The Street Profits, however this obviously never came to be.

The longer time goes the more it feels like a move back to NXT may be the best course of action as clearly there is very little creative for the super heavyweight at this time.
