On Sunday, May 31, WWE will present the historic Clash In Italy 2026 premium live event.

With this being the first major show to take place in Turin, Italy, it should give the company the opportunity to leave some lasting memories in the form of returning stars reemerging.

From legendary names to returning stars from injury, this should give Clash In Italy some memorable moments that will make it an even more important landmark event.

Here are seven potential returns at WWE Clash In Italy 2026.

7. Drew McIntyre

At WWE WrestleMania 42 night one, Jacob Fatu defeated Drew McIntyre in an Unsanctioned Match.

Since this loss, fans have not seen McIntyre on WWE television in the weeks after Mania.

In his time off away from the company, ‘The Scottish Warrior’ has been filming a movie, but he will be back sooner rather than later to reinsert himself into the main event picture.

McIntyre making his return at WWE Clash In Italy 2026 could see him going directly after the Undisputed WWE Championship he lost prior to Mania and attacking whoever comes out as champion from the Cody Rhodes vs. GUNTHER showdown.

6. Chelsea Green

On the February 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Chelsea Green suffered an ankle injury that has seen her placed in a wheelchair as a result.

Wearing a walking boot, Green has showcased her willingness to still make appearances despite being sidelined.

However, Green had found her stride as an in-ring competitor over the past two years with two separate reigns as the WWE Women’s United States Champion.

Green making her return at Clash In Italy 2026 could see her being elevated even higher within the SmackDown women’s division and potentially becoming a challenger for the WWE Women’s Championship.

5. Sheamus

Back in November 2025, Sheamus was pulled from ‘The Last Time Is Now’ tournament after being forced to undergo surgery on a shoulder injury.

Since then, ‘The Celtic Warrior’ has been sidelined from in-ring competition with no indication on when he could make his return.

Sheamus returning would be a much needed addition that might make an impact in the company moving forward.

WWE Clash In Italy 2026 could see Sheamus make his return to answer the Oba Femi Open Challenge or even insert himself into title contention once again.

4. Bronson Reed

Ahead of WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Bronson Reed suffered a serious bicep tear that forced him to be sidelined.

Having undergone surgery to recover from the injury, The Vision member has not revealed his timetable for a possible return.

With his stablemates still embroiled in a rivalry with Seth Rollins and now having to deal with other stars, such as Joe Hendry and the Street Profits, it feels like The Vision are desperately in need of the big Aussie.

Reed returning at WWE Clash In Italy 2026 could see his reunion with The Vision and helping Bron Breakker put an end to their former leader, Rollins.

3. CM Punk

At WWE WrestleMania 42 night two, Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Despite proclaiming that he will always stay ready, Punk has been conspicuous by his absence from WWE TV as of late.

Being a well known brilliant thinker in wrestling, Punk could be biding his time while his rival Reigns deals with family business in his feud with Jacob Fatu.

With that rivalry seemingly leading to another collision course at WWE Clash In Italy, Punk returning when the dust settles could set up a tantalizing Mania rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship coming out of Turin.

2. Randy Orton

At the WrestleMania 42 night one premium live event, Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.

After the match, Orton took matters into his own hands by grabbing the title belt and blasting Rhodes in the face with it. Then, ‘The Viper’ delivered a Punt Kick to Cody’s head, leaving him laying to close the show.

Over the past month, fans have not seen Orton appear on Friday Night SmackDown, which could set up his return to finish the job on Rhodes down the line.

The WWE Clash In Italy PLE could be the perfect setting for Orton’s return where he can issue his challenge for a rematch against Rhodes, looking to get that elusive 15th world title.

1. Rikishi

The current feud between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu has dominated both Monday Night and Friday Night SmackDown as of late.

This rivalry has not only dominated WWE television, but it has consumed the entire Samoan family dynasty from The Usos to The MFTs.

With that in mind, this could lead to some legendary names making their return to WWE to involve themselves in this war between Fatu and Reigns.

Considering his close relationship with the legend, Fatu could call upon Rikishi to convince his sons Jimmy and Jey Uso to stay out of the way of their cousin as he tries to take the World Heavyweight Title from ‘The OTC’ at WWE Clash In Italy 2026.
