8 WWE Stars Who Should Switch Brands In The WWE Draft & Why

2. LA Knight – From NXT To Raw

One of two things should happen with LA Knight.

Either he should win the NXT Championship tonight, or he should be taken out of NXT and moved to the main roster.

There’s no point him being in NXT if the point is to develop young guys, unless it’s to be the credible experienced first champion before one of the upstarts beats him for it.

He might not be the most scintillating athlete in the ring, but he doesn’t need to be because he’s a solid enough worker and a great talker, seemingly made for main roster success.

Although everyone thought that about EC3, and that went well.

If Knight doesn’t win the NXT Title tonight, it would be very surprising if he stayed in developmental any longer.

When it comes to which brand Knight should land on, there isn’t really an obvious answer, so I’ll just say Raw because this list is a bit SmackDown heavy when it comes to the men’s division.

1. Drew McIntyre – From Raw To SmackDown

Out of everyone on the WWE roster, no-one needs a restart more than two-time WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre had been the face of Raw since the start of 2020 until he lost the WWE Title to The Miz who cashed in Money in the Bank this past February, and the Scot hasn’t really recovered since then, especially after losing several times to Bobby Lashley.

Take last night’s Raw for example – McIntyre teamed up with the Viking Raiders against Jinder Mahal, Veer and Shanky, and with the greatest of respect to the rest of those guys, he belongs at the top of the card, not in a match like that.

With Big E now the top babyface on the red brand, it’s time to get McIntyre out of there and onto some new opponents.

We all know Roman Reigns needs some new faces to challenge him – although he does have Brock Lesnar coming up – and McIntyre fits the bill perfectly, as long as his credibility isn’t wrecked too much by continuing to mix it up with undercarders in multi-man matches.

After being pinned by Damian Priest a couple of weeks ago, all signs point to McIntyre being drafted the blue brand, and that’s exactly what should happen.
