AEW
Having returned to action at AEW Forbidden Door in June, Jay White is sidelined due to injury, leaving the Bang Bang Gang leaderless.
The October 3 episode of AEW Collision saw Tony Schiavone announce that Jay White has suffered an undisclosed injury at All Out, with the star expected to be out of action for a couple of months.
His most recent return came after being absent from March to last year to June 2026 with a broken hand, but also undergoing shoulder surgery and rehabbing other injuries.
While White is on the sidelines, an opportunity exists for others to pick over the Bang Bang Gang for their own benefit:
“This ain’t working”
That’s all it would take for The Gunns to exit Bang Bang Gang, as they contemplate another leaderless future.
Jay White & The Gunns are former AEW World Trios Champions, with Colten & Austin having held the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
In an ideal world, The Gunns would set out on a quest to reclaim that championship and do it without the Bang Bang Gang, reminding the roster who they are and what they do.
Death Riders
The bridge between Bang Bang Gang (Bullet Club Gold), The Dogs and Death Riders is none other than Gabe Kidd.
The factions may have feuded, but there’s an opportunity for a defection for any members of Bang Bang Gang who see the tide turning.
A change of character may be needed, but the sight of former three-time IWGP United States Champion Juice Robinson as a member of Death Riders may be just what the star needs to capture his first title in AEW.
Seeing Kidd pitch Robinson to Jon Moxley would be a test for the British star’s reputation and one that could pay off for all involved.
United Empire (America)
Will Ospreay recently added The Brawling Birds to United Empire in AEW and is likely to add more stars to the faction over the coming months.
When it comes to a star who could benefit from the association with Ospreay, it has to be Ace Austin, a star who would bring his trademark flair to a faction that already features The Aerial Assassin.
A three-time TNA X Division Champion and World Tag Team Champion, Austin is yet to hold his first AEW championship, yet has all the tools to be a serious contender.
The future for Jay White
Imagine a situation where Jay White returns to discover an empty house when it comes to the Bang Bang Gang.
Reintroducing the star as a bitter, angry and destructive entity would be a threat to anyone who crosses his path, with nobody to hold him back as he seeks vengeance.
An NJPW Grand Slam Champion, White has all the potential to carry singles titles in AEW and seeking that opportunity through an aggressive, devil-may-care approach could give fans many “match of the year” moments.
