In 2026, Dragon Lee has risen to prominence as one of the best in-ring performers in WWE.

Consistently delivering some of the best matches, Lee has been featured heavily and more than he has previously during his WWE run.

Recent reports have revealed that Lee’s WWE contract is set to expire in the near future.

Here are some future plans for Dragon Lee when his WWE contract expires.

New Hermanos Lee tag team with his brother Dralistico

With the news of his WWE deal expiring, it was revealed that Dragon Lee has filed a trademark with his brother and AEW star Dralistico.

The trademark is for the term Hermanos Lee, which indicates plans for the brothers to team.

Hermanos Lee would bring two of the most exciting high flyers in the business together.

Regardless of which promotion, Dragon Lee and Dralistico have the potential to be a standout tag team moving forward.

Return to NJPW

Back in the 2010s, Dragon Lee made his way to New Japan Pro Wrestling.

In NJPW, Lee quickly became one of the best junior heavyweights in the company.

At ROH x NJPW G1 Supercard in 2019, Lee defeated Bandido and Taiji Ishimori to become IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title.

Considering his history and the opportunity to make the jump alongside his brother Dralistico, there could be a big push in line for Lee if he returns to New Japan down the road.

Hero’s welcome in CMLL

Another former home for Dragon Lee was over in Mexico for CMLL.

Spending six years with the promotion, Lee was a two-time CMLL World Lightweight Champion and a two-time CMLL World Welterweight Champion.

Considering the rise of CMLL in recent years, it feels like a great time for Lee to make a return.

As previously mentioned, 2026 has been a banner year for Dragon Lee in WWE.

The masked luchador has become one of the most reliable in-ring competitors in the company.

With his amazing high flying exploits, Lee has been a dependable worker who can deliver the match of the night on any given show.

Considering Dralistico’s AEW contract is expiring, Dragon Lee could open the door for Hermanos Lee to make WWE their home by re-signing.

Signing with AEW alongside Dralistico

While he could leave the promotion, Dralistico could also re-sign with All Elite Wrestling.

Back in 2022, Dragon Lee also appeared on AEW TV alongside his brothers Dralistico and RUSH.

With his family in the company, Lee could make his way back to AEW sometime soon.

Knowing AEW emphasizes in-ring ability, Dragon Lee might garner a bigger spotlight in Tony Khan’s promotion, especially if he joins the tag team division alongside Dralistico as Hermanos Lee.
