WWE/AEW
Here are some former champions in All Elite Wrestling that we could soon see leave the company and join WWE.
Over the years, we have seen a number of names leave WWE to join AEW ad vice versa.
Former AEW stars have had a mixed track record in WWE, with names like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Penta and Jade Cargill having a lot of success, while other names have yet to achieve success in the company.
With several contracts coming up, here are some former champions in AEW we could see join WWE soon.
Max Caster & Anthony Bowens
Both members of The Acclaimed are now officially free agents
On October 1, it was reported that the contracts of both Anthony Bowens and Max Caster of the Acclaimed had expired, with both men currently being free agents.
Prior to leaving AEW, Bowens and Caster had broken up, though a storyline had begun with Billy Gunn attempting to get the two back together.
Since then, Caster has not appeared on AEW television, while Bowens was a member of the Opps up until his contract expiring.
The Acclaimed would likely achieve the most success in WWE as a duo, so them reuniting outside of the company, potentially in NXT, would be the best move.
Scorpio Sky
Scorpio Sky is a two-time AEW TNT Champion and was one half of the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions with SoCal Uncensored.
It was also reported last night that the AEW contract of former AEW World Tag Team and TNT Champion Scorpio Sky was set to expire this month, with him not having signed a new deal as of All Out.
Scorpio was a key feature in early AEW, with he and Frankie Kazarian being the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions, before he then went on to become a two-time TNT Champion before joining forces with Ethan Page as the Men of the Year.
With Sky’s contract coming up, there are a number of potential options for him outside the company, including him potentially making the move over to WWE, where he would likely take up a similar role in NXT to that of Shawn Spears, or potentially reuniting with Ethan Page on the main roster as a tag team, as Raw really needs more of those.
