It was recently reported that there is “growing frustration” within WWE regarding the lack of variety in the SmackDown tag team division.

With this coming after reports earlier in the year that WWE were looking to rebuild their tag division, there could soon be some free agent signings, as well as some new tag teams created from the current WWE roster.

Looking at the stars on Raw, SmackDown and NXT, there are a variety of highly enticing tag teams that could be formed over the coming weeks and months.

Here are six new WWE tag teams potentially coming soon.

6. Ethan Page & Rusev

In their quest to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Ethan Page and Rusev have formed a tag team.

Coming together for their common goal, Page and Rusev created an unlikely duo that could do some damage on Monday Night Raw.

With “All Ego” being the brains and Rusev serving as the brawn, this may become a formidable pairing moving forward.

Page and Rusev becoming a force in the WWE tag team division could see them winning gold and making a statement wherever they end up next.

5. Nikkita Lyons & Karmen Petrovic

On the June 16 edition of WWE NXT, Nattie defeated Jaida Parker in a singles bout.

After the match, Nattie celebrated her win alongside Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic.

Despite long being rivals on NXT, it was interesting to see Petrovic and Lyons together as a duo in the near future.

Becoming a permanent tag team, Karmen and Nikkita could use their experience as opponents to become a cohesive unit as a duo on WWE NXT.

4. Jaida Parker & Kali Armstrong

Another WWE NXT tag team that could be forming and potentially step up for the Women’s Tag Team Titles down the line are Jaida Parker and Kali Armstrong.

Back on the May 5 edition of WWE NXT, Armstrong defeated Parker, which led to Jaida being upset moving forward.

Becoming a duo, Parker and Armstrong have very similar attitudes that could work under the same banner together.

Parker and Armstrong are going to be top level talent on their own, but as a pairing, these two could reach the mountaintop to become WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions one day.

3. Tiffany Stratton & Chelsea Green

Over the past several weeks, fans have been seeing Chelsea Green trying to endear herself to Tiffany Stratton.

Wanting a new friend after the recent release of Alba Fyre, Green has been seeking a friendship with Stratton.

Chelsea and Tiffany have even teamed together in a loss against Michin and B-Fab that did not work out for them on the June 12 SmackDown.

Pitting these two widely popular female stars as a unit, Green and Stratton could significantly impact the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship picture moving forward.

2. Shinsuke Nakamura & Naraku

Ahead of WWE WrestleMania 42, there were rumors that Shinsuke Nakamura was being discussed to start his own faction on the main roster.

Believing “The King of Strong Style” could create his own Japan-based faction, many fans wondered if this would be the way WWE introduced EVIL to their audience.

However, the former EVIL, now known as Naraku has become one of the top contenders for the NXT Championship on Tuesday nights instead.

Despite being on opposite brands, Naraku and Nakamura could still find themselves associated as a new tag team whether it be on NXT or the main roster.

1. Bayley & Lola Vice

At the AAA Noche de Los Grandes Week 2 event, Bayley, Lola Vice and La Catalina defeated Los Toxicas.

This winning trio formed due to their mutual disdain for Flammer’s group, but they could stick together because of how well Bayley, Vice and Catalina worked together.

Considering that these two ladies might one day be on the same brand, fans might see Bayley and Lola bring their partnership to the bigger audiences.

After being betrayed by Lyra Valkyria on the June 22 WWE Raw, Bayley could align herself with another friend in Lola Vice to form an exciting team for the Women’s Tag Team Championship scene.
