WWE SummerSlam 2026 is surely going to be one of the biggest and most important premium live events of the year.

The two-night event from Minneapolis will see several high profile matches, but the championship gold will garner a lot of attention for this show.

Looking at the current WWE landscape, there are several champions who could lose their titles by the time SummerSlam 2026 comes around.

Here are seven potential title changes at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

7. Jacy Jayne Takes The WWE Women’s Championship From Rhea Ripley

Since arriving on the WWE main roster, Fatal Influence have made it perfectly clear they have their sights on championship gold.

On the April 24 WWE SmackDown after WrestleMania 42, the stable made their debut and Jacy Jayne confronted WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

Despite not advancing in the Queen of the Ring tournament, Jayne still feels like a top contender to face Ripley for the title at ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer.’

Jayne rising to the top to defeat ‘Mami’ would be an intriguing battle that will see the Fatal Influence leader win the gold to put her faction at the forefront moving forward.

6. Fatal Influence Captures The Women’s Tag Team Championship

Speaking of Fatal Influence, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid have been putting their focus on the tag team division.

On the June 12 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Paige and Brie Bella defeated Fatal Influence in a non-title match.

After this loss, it may take Henley and Reid some time to earn their way to a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

While there is some fierce competition in the division, Fatal Influence remains the team that needs this kind of meaningful win on a stage like WWE SummerSlam 2026 this August.

5. Charlotte Flair Becomes A Grand Slam Champion By Beating Jade Cargill For The Women’s United States Championship

Charlotte Flair has always accomplished every single thing that she can in WWE.

‘The Queen’ is a 14-time WWE Women’s World Champion, two-time Royal Rumble winner and two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Currently, Flair finds herself embroiled in a rivalry with Jade Cargill that recently saw Cargill, Michin and B-Fab re-injure Charlotte’s surgically-repaired knee.

With Cargill challenging Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s United States Championship at Night of Champions, Jade’s inevitable showdown with Flair could see her losing gold at a major PLE again just like WrestleMania 42.

4. Chad Gable Finally Becomes A Singles Champion By Winning The Intercontinental Title Against Penta In His Hometown

After losing his Original El Grande Americano mask at AAA Noche de Los Grandes 2026, Chad Gable has been on a compelling redemption arc.

Making amends with the luchadors for disrespecting lucha libre for months, Gable now finds himself trying to apologize to his former friends in Alpha Academy.

Considering the focus on his character as of late, it feels like Gable will be featured in a high-profile bout on the WWE SummerSlam 2026 card.

With his rivalry with Penta starting his run with the mask, it would be a major full circle moment for Gable to beat the luchador to win his first singles title and finally become Intercontinental Champion in his hometown of Minneapolis.

3. IYO SKY Regains The WWE Women’s World Championship From Liv Morgan

At WWE Night of Champions, IYO SKY will face Liv Morgan in the Queen of the Ring final.

While Morgan is one of the biggest stars in all of WWE today, she is also the current Women’s World Champion, so it wouldn’t make a ton of sense to have her win the crown on June 28.

This means SKY would pin the Women’s World Champion to win the Queen of the Ring and move on to challenge the world champion of her choosing at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

‘The Genius of the Sky’ is someone who is more than capable of ending Morgan’s title reign at WWE SummerSlam 2026 on August 1 or 2.

2. Jey Uso Brings The World Heavyweight Championship Back To The Bloodline Against Cody Rhodes

While he is currently holding the World Heavyweight Championship on Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns wants The Bloodline to hold the two most prestigious titles in WWE right now.

‘The OTC’ sent his cousin Jey Uso into the King of the Ring tournament to win and go on to take the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Wanting both top prizes in The Bloodline, Uso now seems more focused than ever to shut up all the naysayers and win the crown from Oba Femi at WWE Night of Champions 2026.

After getting that win, there might not be anything stopping Jey from finally beating Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of SummerSlam 2026.

1. Oba Femi Dethrones Roman Reigns For The World Heavyweight Championship

Ever since Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, there has been a clear mission to set up ‘The Ruler’ vs. ‘The OTC’ for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Now, Femi will face Jey Uso in the King of the Ring tournament final at WWE Night of Champions 2026.

After making it clear that his eyes are on ‘The Tribal Chief,’ there might not be anything that gets in the way of Femi winning the crown and heading to a showdown with Reigns in the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2026.

The huge two-night PLE from Minneapolis should close with Femi dethroning Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship and cementing him as the newest megastar in the company.
