On the April 28 edition of WWE NXT, former IWGP Heavyweight Champion EVIL made his debut with the company as Naraku.

The former NJPW star has immediately placed himself as a top star on the brand and looks poised to become the next NXT Champion.

Considering his tease ahead of the title bout and facing Tony D’Angelo at The Great American Bash 2026, fans could see Naraku debut a new faction that can take over NXT moving forward.

Here are six WWE stars to potentially join a new Naraku faction in NXT.

6. Dorian Van Dux

Since making his WWE NXT debut, Dorian Van Dux has been an exciting addition to the roster.

The Belgian star is someone who has stood out with his high flying arsenal and underrated strength.

While he has sided with many of the babyfaces on WWE NXT and Evolve, DVD might be better suited as a prominent heel in his new home.

Van Dux joining forces with Naraku in a new stable would be a great way to highlight him and elevate him up the card.

5. Josh Briggs

Over the past several months, Josh Briggs has seen his role significantly altered and diminished on NXT.

While he has long been one of the most underrated names on the NXT roster, Briggs hasn’t truly broken out on the same level as those he started on the brand with five years ago.

Needing a fresh new coat of paint, Briggs could become the enforcer for a major faction if Naraku brings his own group to the forefront.

Naraku recruiting Briggs would give him some size and experience that can make his new House of Torture-like faction as a force to be reckoned with.

4. Ulka Sasaki

Ulka Sasaki has been training at the WWE Performance Center and working NXT live events for the past few months

WWE and Pro Wrestling NOAH have had a working relationship in recent years that has seen stars from each company visit the other and make appearances.

Following in the footsteps of Yoshiki Inamura, Ulka Sasaki is the latest NOAH talent who has started training at the Performance Center.

Despite not appearing on NXT as of yet, WWE may want to give Sasaki some spotlight by having him introduced alongside a top star like Naraku.

The former EVIL bringing in another name from Japan would see what he envisions with this group more than a lot of other moves he can make on NXT.

3. Yoshiki Inamura

Yoshiki Inamura worked in WWE NXT from November 2024 to August 2025

Speaking of Pro Wrestling NOAH, Yoshiki Inamura has become a success story of their partnership with WWE.

After spending a year in the United States on the NXT brand, Inamura returned to NOAH and immediately became a headline act by winning the GCW Heavyweight Championship.

With a 175-day reign, Inamura proved that he had what it takes to be a top star all this time, but he eventually broke out after spending a significant amount of time on the WWE NXT brand.

Inamura returning to NXT to join forces with Naraku in a new group would alter the entire look of this entity and put them at the top of the brand, especially after an NXT Championship win.

2. Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura has not been regularly featured on Friday Night SmackDown in months.

Despite being at the tail end of his career, ‘The King of Strong Style’ finds himself without a significant angle or story to tell on the WWE main roster.

Nakamura returning to his home on WWE NXT would be massive for the brand as he joined Naraku based on their history in New Japan Pro Wrestling together.

Naraku making Nakamura his number two would showcase his power and bring a ton of star power to this new faction in NXT.

1. IYO SKY

There is no one closer to Naraku on the entire WWE roster right now than his wife IYO SKY.

With their relationship dating back years, Naraku and SKY want to be together and stay close to one another.

While the schedule on the road is not as difficult now compared to years past, SKY could return to NXT to do an angle with her husband.

IYO and Naraku becoming the NXT power couple would be a tremendous start for this new faction, immediately placing them at the center of the entire brand moving forward.
