Over the past two years, there have been several WWE stars who have gone over to Mexico to win gold in Lucha Libre AAA.
From Dominik Mysterio and Lola Vice to Chelsea Green and The War Raiders, AAA has seen WWE talent capture championships on a frequent basis.
Looking at the current landscape of AAA, there could be even more stars who make their way from WWE to AAA to become champion in the coming weeks and months.
Here are seven WWE stars to potentially win an AAA championship next.
7. Roxanne Perez
At WWE AAA TripleMania 34 Friday, Roxanne Perez defeated Nattie, Faby Apache and La Hiedra to become the number one contender for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.
Thanks to this win, Perez will now challenge for the title at the WWE AAA Worlds Collide event on September 26.
It will be either Flammer or La Catalina who walks out with the gold following TripleMania 34.
Depending on who she faces, Perez might have the advantage and could walk out of Chicago as the new Reina de Reinas Champion.
6. Raquel Rodriguez
2026 has been a career year for Raquel Rodriguez, who won her first singles title on the WWE main roster.
On the July 27 edition of Monday Night Raw, Rodriguez defeated Sol Ruca to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Now reigning as a titleholder, Raquel could want to collect even more gold.
Going to Lucha Libre AAA, Rodriguez has the size and power that could make her a Reina de Reinas Champion in short order.
5. Ricky Saints
After weeks of challenging, Ricky Saints finally got his opportunity at the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.
On the September 11 Friday Night SmackDown, Saints came up short against Rey Fenix for the title in Mexico City.
Following his loss, Ricky turned down a handshake with the champion. Then later in the show, Saints shook Fenix’s hand before attacking him from behind.
Showing this isn’t over, Ricky Saints feels like he will not stop until he captures the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship in the near future.
4. Nattie
Over the past two years, Nattie has made several appearances in Lucha Libre AAA.
Challenging Flammer for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship in the past, Nattie showed why she has been viewed as one of the most dependable in-ring performers in the WWE women’s division for years.
In recent months, Nattie has found a new home on WWE NXT, but she could make her way to AAA soon.
The Hart Family member finally winning the Reina de Reinas Title would be huge and mark the biggest win she has scored in a few years.
3. Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom)
In recent weeks, Fraxiom has been appearing in Lucha Libre AAA as singles and tag team competitors.
Whether it be Nathan Frazer vying for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship or the pair competing against other duos on the roster, it feels like Fraxiom is right at home in the promotion.
At WWE AAA TripleMania 34 Friday, Los Americanos defeated Fraxiom, Tokyo Bad Boys and LWO in a four-way tag team elimination match.
After a showstealing performance at the biggest event of the year, Frazer and Axiom have made their mark that could lead to a shot at the AAA World Tag Team Championships before long.
2. Bayley
Another WWE star who has appeared on a few Lucha Libre AAA shows over the past year is Bayley.
The former WWE Women’s Champion has teamed with Lola Vice and La Catalina to defeat Los Toxicas in trios action most recently at the AAA Noche de Los Grandes event.
Following a two-month absence from WWE TV, Bayley recently made her return to the company under speculation about her future with the promotion.
WWE could give Bayley the chance to dethrone either Flammer or La Catalina for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship now that she has come back in the fold.
1. Damian Priest
Damian Priest recently made his way to Mexico to start appearing in Lucha Libre AAA.
This is not the only major change for Priest over the past few months.
On the September 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Priest turned on his longtime friend and tag team partner R-Truth after coming up short against The War Raiders for the AAA World Tag Team Championships.
After being unable to win the tag gold and the AAA Latin American Championship at Ola de Calor, Priest could use this recent attitude change to go after the AAA Mega Title sooner rather than later.
