Two new WWE NXT signings: Who are the next free agents to potentially arrive on Tuesday nights?

As ever with WWE NXT, the brand has seen a great deal of turnover in 2026; with Lola Vice the latest name to depart the brand for Monday Night Raw.

As much as NXT has lost in 2026, they have also gained an equal amount too; with new talent arriving from the free agent market or within their own developmental system.

Here are two more potential new WWE NXT signings who could arrive soon on the brand:

Richard Holliday

2026 has seen many rumored WWE NXT signings bear fruit in the end, with the much speculated arrivals of Cruz Montana and Zilla Fatu being the most recent examples.

However, one name who has yet to arrive in WWE – despite being the subject of interest from the company – is Richard Holliday.

The 33-year-old has been a mainstay on the North American independent scene over the past decade, with his work in Major League Wrestling alongside MJF and Alexander Hammerstone perhaps being his most well known run.

It appeared as if all his work on the indies was soon to be rewarded when Holliday underwent a tryout with WWE back in February. Rumors then intensified when Holliday appeared to say his goodbyes to GCW back at a July event, and teased an announcement regarding his future during WWE NXT Heatwave weekend.

Holliday’s announcement was him just having fun with the situation in the end however, and there has yet to be any further reports regarding whether he will be joining WWE in the end.

Despite the uncertainty, this still very much feels like a signing that could still happen, and we may catch our first glimpse of him on WWE NXT TV soon.

Anthony Bowens

Unlike Richard Holliday, Anthony Bowens is not yet a free agent, as the former AEW World Tag Team and Trios Champion remains under contract with Tony Khan until October.

Since Fightful’s report that revealed Bowens’ expiring contract, there has been no further updates revealing that he’s in negotiations over a new deal.

What there has been however, is word that WWE has “at least some interest” in signing Bowens if he becomes available.

Despite all his tag team success as one half of The Acclaimed, Bowens still feels like someone with untapped potential as a singles star as the 35-year-old brings top notch in-ring skills and solid mic work to the table.

While he is in his mid-thirties, NXT would be the best place for Bowens to find his feet in WWE before moving on to Raw or SmackDown in the future.

One option WWE would also seemingly have is bringing in Bowens’ former tag team partner Max Caster into the company as well, as he also has a contract reportedly coming up in October. As of now however, there is no word of WWE being interested in The Acclaimed as a double act.
