WWE
Earlier this month, Danhausen attempted to secure a championship opportunity on WWE Raw, which could be the start of a plan.
The August 17 episode of WWE Raw saw Danhausen sneak up on Adam Pearce in the locker room, wielding a weapon, intent on attacking the authority figure.
Pearce would realize what was about to happen, stop the attack and ask Danhausen what he was doing, with the star reflecting on how attacking Nick Aldis had got GUNTHER a match at SummerSlam and a championship match thereafter.
While Pearce would tell Danhausen that beating him up doesn’t do him any favors, he would suggest going to SmackDown to have a word with Aldis.
WWE SmackDown on August 28 saw Danhausen meet with Aldis, but also with GUNTHER, who is apparently called GOONER in the mind of the Very Nice, Very Evil one.
No championship offer would be made to Danhausen, despite being asked to be added to the title match, and GUNTHER was less than impressed with the star.
With Danhausen undefeated since his WWE debut, a championship could likely come his way in, no doubt, unusual circumstances.
World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns vs. Danhausen would be an unusual match and one that is very unlikely to happen, given The OTC’s limited schedule and the current issues he has within The Bloodline.
Had Reigns not defeated CM Punk at WrestleMania 42 for the title, there could have been a way to get a World Heavyweight Championship match with Danhausen on an untelevised house show.
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Chad Gable as the current champion sees the title in the hands of a popular competitor who has been reborn since his run as The Original Grande Americano in AAA.
There was a time when Gable vs. Danhausen could have been a fun feud, though probably not for a title. There was also an opportunity to have Danhausen face Dominik Mysterio, particularly given the feud with Judgment Day that culminated at SummerSlam with a victory over Dirty Dom in a “Human Monies on a Pole” match.
WWE United States Championship
Baron Corbin wasn’t impressed with the fur added to the United States Championship by Trick Williams, and it’s difficult to picture the star being overjoyed with the idea of Danhausen as a challenger.
World Tag Team Championship & WWE Tag Team Championship.
Given a choice between the World Tag Team Championship held by The Vision or the WWE Tag Team Championship held by The MFTs (Talla Tonga & Tama Tonga), it’s more likely that Danhausen would face Austin Theory & Bron Breakker, should he be able to find a tag team partner.
Again, this is the sort of match that could take place on a WWE Live house show as opposed to television, with the decision pretty much predetermined due to that environment.
No Championship For Danhausen?
In the current WWE title picture, there doesn’t appear to be much room for Danhausen to pick up a championship, let alone an opportunity to challenge for one, outside of a house show.
That said, with his penchant for the weird and wonderful, there’s one title that would fit perfectly into the junk and disarray of his laboratory.
Retired in November 2022, the WWE 24/7 Championship was last seen being thrown in the vicinity of a bin by Nikki Cross.
Perhaps it’s time for Danhausen to go searching the bins in the hope of finding a championship that may fit him.
